Using Drone Video to Market Airbnb Rentals
As the short-term rental industry continues to grow, it's becoming increasingly important for Airbnb owners to find new and innovative ways to market their properties. Nashville TN is one of the hottest tourist locations in the US so short-term rental competition in Nashville is heavy. At Nashville Drone Co, we understand that making your Nashville area Airbnb stand out from the others will ensure your Airbnb property stays rented year round. One of the most effective ways to do this is by using drone video footage to showcase your property's unique features and stunning surroundings. Short videos for Reels & TiKTok are something we specialize in at Nashville Drone Co.
Here are some tips for using drone video to market your Airbnb:
Highlight the Location: Whether your property is nestled in the mountains or perched on the edge of the ocean, using drone footage to showcase its location can be a powerful marketing tool. Aerial footage can give potential guests a bird's-eye view of the surrounding area and highlight nearby attractions, such as beaches, hiking trails, or local landmarks.
Show Off Your Property: Aerial footage can also be used to showcase the unique features of your property. For example, if you have a beautiful pool, a lush garden, or a sprawling outdoor entertaining area, a drone video can give potential guests a sense of what it's like to relax and unwind in your space.
Create a Virtual Tour: A drone video can also be used to create a virtual tour of your property, giving potential guests a comprehensive view of all the different spaces and amenities available. This can be particularly helpful for larger properties or those with multiple buildings, as it allows guests to get a better sense of the layout and flow of the space.
Show the Seasons: If your Airbnb is located in an area that experiences seasonal changes, using drone footage to capture the changing colors of the leaves or the snow-covered landscape can be a great way to showcase the unique beauty of your property throughout the year.
Add Music: Lastly, consider adding music to your drone video to create an immersive and engaging experience for potential guests. Choose a soundtrack that fits the mood of your property and the surrounding area, whether that's calming and relaxing or upbeat and energizing.
Overall, using drone video to market your Airbnb can be a powerful tool in attracting potential guests and showcasing the unique features of your property. Make sure you use an FAA Part 107 licensed drone video company to capture the footage of your property as its required by federal law when using drone video for commercial use.
Video Marketing For Short Term Rentals
Short-term rentals have become increasingly popular in recent years as more and more people seek unique and authentic travel experiences. With the rise of platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo, the competition for bookings has also increased, making it more important than ever for hosts to market their properties effectively. Nashville Drone Co is helping short-term owners, in Nashville and surrounding areas, put their short-term rentals at the top of desired places to stay.
One effective way to market short-term rentals is through the use of video. Video allows potential guests to get a better sense of what the property looks like, how it is furnished, and what the surrounding neighborhood has to offer. Nashville Drone Co uses drones to capture the outside from interesting perspective and handheld camera to tell the story of the inside. We recently filmed some properties in Cincinnati and the video above features the beautiful short-term rental Deco on Mulberry.
Here are some tips on how to use video to market short-term rentals:
Showcase the property: The primary purpose of the video should be to showcase the property itself. Capturing the outside of the property with a drone to show views from above helps the potential renters imagine something wonderful. Make sure to capture footage of each room, highlighting any unique or interesting features. Use natural light whenever possible and avoid using filters or excessive editing that might make the property look different from how it actually is.
Highlight amenities: In addition to showcasing the property itself, it's also important to highlight any amenities that guests will have access to. This could include a pool, hot tub, gym, or outdoor space. Make sure to capture footage of these amenities and include them in the video.
Show the neighborhood: Guests want to know what the neighborhood is like, so be sure to capture footage of nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops. This will give potential guests a sense of what they can expect to do and see during their stay.
Use music and voiceover: Adding music and a voiceover can help to make the video more engaging and informative. Choose music that matches the tone of the property and use a voiceover to provide additional details and information about the property and neighborhood.
Keep it short and sweet: A video that is too long can quickly become boring and lose the attention of potential guests. Keep the video short and to the point, ideally under two minutes in length.
Share on social media: Once the video is complete, share it on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook to reach a wider audience. Consider using paid advertising to reach even more potential guests.
In conclusion, video can be a powerful tool for marketing short-term rentals. By showcasing the property, highlighting amenities, showing the neighborhood, and using music and voiceover, hosts can create a compelling video that will help to attract potential guests. By sharing the video on social media and using paid advertising, hosts can reach a wider audience and increase the chances of bookings.
Heartbroken
Today the unimaginable took place in our beloved city of Nashville, TN. Our heart is broken for the families of those whose lives were tragically taken at Covenant Christian School. The beauty which the church and school radiate from the hilltop in Green Hills is now blanketed with sadness as evil reared its head once again to steal innocent human lives. We are praying for all the families of children and adults who attend Covenant Christian School and for the families of those we lost today.
Nashville Drone Co Works On Universal Music Video
You have probably heard it said that video is king when it comes to content. I would go a step further and say that drone video is king when it comes to content. Drones can be used in so many ways to help a music video stand out. Nashville Drone Co recently had the opportunity to work with Universal Music and Rocket Entertainment on location in Nashville to do just that.
Nashville Drone Co was hired to do the drone video work for the “I’m Here” video from Universal Music pop artist, Sarah Cothran. While the word “drone” often conjures up thoughts of 400 ft views from the sky, we actually focused on low altitude flying to help the producer build what we think is a pretty amazing video. Our shots begin at 1:37 where we spin the drone above Sarah as she lays on the ground singing and then we chase her with the drone as she runs through the field. At Nashville Drone Co, we focus on capturing cinematic shots that enhance the story whether we are flying 2 feet off the ground or 400 feet in the sky. The video producer, Zachary Wright, and director of photography, Frank Schwab, were great to work with. They shared their vision for the shots they wanted to capture but allowed us the freedom to try some things. Spinning the drone above Sarah was a technique we have been working on over the last couple years and the “I’m Here” music video presented the perfect opportunity to showcase the technique. We were thrilled to see the producer choose the spin as a recurring element through the end of the video.
The “I’m Here” video was our first time to film with a DJI Mavic 3 Cine and we love everything about that drone.
Filming Steeples with a Drone
We recently played a role in the launch of the first drone based artist in the music business with new artist, Sky Hymnal. Filming steeples with a drone is something we love to do in our travels. Each steeple has a unique personality and beauty which we find intriguing. Sky Hymnal pairs our drone footage with instrumental ambient guitar recordings of popular traditional hymns. We have more projects in the works with Sky Hymnal and we will share as they are released.

Music Row Nashville 4K Video Tour
One of Nashville Tennessee’s most popular attractions is Music Row and Nashville Drone Co recently filmed a 4K drone video that showcases some of the key music companies including ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, Word/Curb Entertainment, Sony Music Publishing, Starstruck Entertainment, the Country Music Association, Black River Entertainment, BMG and Ocean Way Studios. We also captured the famous round-about plaza and the newly opened Virgin Hotel. While some music companies have moved their offices to downtown locations, 16th & 17th Avenues in Nashville will forever be remembered as the hub for the music that made and continues to make Nashville famous. Some of the houses that once served as offices for various music companies are now being replaced with hotels and condos, but The Row (a name locals call it) continues to be the birthplace for many radio hits in country, Christian and pop music.
